Artist-in-residence Tai Hwa Goh uses paper and printmaking to create incredible installations influenced by the natural world. Join Goh for this drop-in workshop, where visitors will assist the artist in creating an installation inspired by the architecture at MAD. Visitors will create rubbings from found objects, use stamps to create patterns on paper, and print out decals, culminating in a group project that takes over part of the Education Department’s classroom.
MADmakes is a drop-in, hands-on series where visitors can test their skills at art making and creative production. Led by current artists-in-residence, MADmakes offers visitors the opportunity to better understand and appreciate the workmanship that goes into contemporary studio practice today.
