We read two stories, one active and one calming, to inspire our yoga journey as we explore breath awareness, yoga poses and creative ways to find calm. Jessica Mougis is the founder of Jem Yoga NYC a company that specializes in yoga for babies, children and families. Jessica has been working with children of all ages for over ten years teaching creative movement, ballet, modern dance and yoga. She has taught yoga and mindfulness to hundreds of children around New York City, and has trained dozens of adults to teach children’s yoga. She is 200-hour Vinyasa Yoga certified through Laughing Lotus Yoga Center. Her proudest accomplishment is being a mom to her one-year-old daughter Emily Rae. She lives in the UWS with her husband, daughter, and their Rhodesian Ridgeback, Romeo.
