ARTS IN ACTION VISUAL ART PROGRAM

Arts in Action Visual Art Program, in it’s 26th year, teaches a sequentially structured fine art curriculum that empowers its students with a visual language as a means of communication that is fun to learn! Directed by Angela Tripi-Weiss, Three-time Blackboard Awards Winner for Excellence in Fine Art Education.

After school and Weekend Classes, Camps and Workshops are designed to expose children to age appropriate fine art concepts, and skills as well as a variety of exciting materials that working artists use. AIAVAP teaches art that empowers children to communicate effectively through the foundation of drawing and painting!

The Art Farm In The City

Join us on an animal adventure as we jump with the frogs and hop with the bunnies and learn about a new animal every week. We start out groovin’ to the guitar, bouncing with the balls and dancing with our friends as we sing along with all types of instruments. As we wait with anticipation to meet the star of the show, “The Animal of The Week”, we play and learn with toys that are similar to our animal visitor and just before he comes we settle down for a story.

Once our special animal appears we get to touch, enjoy, and hear all about him. Every other week we pull out the paint, glue, feathers, sand and more as we create an animal masterpeice of our own. This one-of-a-kind class isn’t over until you meet all of our friends in our indoor petting zoo.

LOOP OF THE LOOM: FIBER ARTS AFTERSCHOOL KIDS CLASS

Loop of the Loom is the only SAORI certified studio in NY metro area which introduces the award winning SAORI method for children. SAORI is a process-oriented weaving program from Japan that empowers every child to create with confidence without the fear of making a mistake. In class children of different levels can learn together while pursuing their own individual projects with semi-private instruction and guidance. We develop children’s manipulative skills by weaving, spinning and felting from natural fiber, dyeing, sewing, knitting and crochet.

Current after school kids class is “Growing Crafters”. This consists of 9 sessions which can be started at any time, and the cost is $375.00 plus cost of material. See link for more info.

They also have a project based class called “Sprouting Weavers” (costs vary).
