Through dozens of playground elements like slides, seesaws, sand pits, and fog machines, visitors of all ages and abilities can explore the scientific principles of motion, balance, sound, sight and simple machines, as well as sun, wind and water.

Designed for children of all ages, Science Playground exhibits include a giant lever, Archimedes screw and water play area, wind pipes, a climbing net, slides, sand boxes and metal drums.

The Science Playground is available for groups at a discounted price. Groups must register in advance. Call 718-699-0301 for more information.

Monday – Thursday, 10 am – 2 pm; Friday, 10 am – 5 pm; Weekends, 10 am – 6 pm
July 1 – August 31, 2012:
Monday – Friday, 10 am – 5 pm; Weekends, 10 am – 6 pm
September 1 – December 31, 2012:

The Science Playground is free for NYSCI Premium, Family Plus, Extended Family and Donor members. Last session is one hour before NYSCI general closing time.
